Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

We arrived 10 minutes before the appointment, got to the second floor and started waiting to be called in. We were alone in the waiting room and after like 15-20 minutes the IO called my husband's name, I was gonna go with him, but the officer told me to stay in the waiting room. After 15 minutes of waiting I started get a little bit nervous that we will have to go through stroke interview, but tried to calm myself down and he called me in after 10 more minutes. I expected to be questioned by myself, but my hubby was in the room too, so it already made me feel more relaxed. After the oath IO started asking me questions. First 2 was just regular ones that I'm in a good health and don't have any conditions which can affect my ability to answer the questions and am I a Russian spy or not XD

He asked me next questions:
- how and where have we met each other
- how we jumped into romantic relationship
- what are 4 nicknames my hubby calls me at home (I was... read complete review

Review Topic: Other Experience

We did a bio-metrics this morning. Our appointment is at at 9:00 am but we tried to get there at around 8:00 am.
Everything is very nice, from the security check to the fingerprints.

The officer is very reasonable. They gave us a waiting number and at last we finished before 8:30am.

Had to wait a little while to get the AOS interview, but the experience was very pleasant. They complimented us on having one of the best organized files they had ever seen, and the interview just consisted of talking about politics. It dragged on as a result, but it was otherwise painless.

The Manchester office staff, from check in security to IO were professional and somewhat friendly, not a pally pally friendly, but a comforting one, one that makes you feel at ease.

We had 2 visits, biometrics and AOS.

Biometrics - went before our appointment date but the staff still processed us for fingerprinting, although she gave us a talking on that they may have to stop walk-ins, because they only schedule staff according to the number of appointments on a particular day. Make sure to walk with your marriage cert. and ID.

AOS - We got there 15 minutes before 1:45pm appointment, did the security check and then were sent on the 2nd floor, where we placed our appointment letter in a tray and waited for our names to be called. We were called after 10 minutes. IO was pleasant. We remained standing while taking the oath. Interview took around 10 minutes-we were thinking she already went over the files thoroughly, already made a decision... read complete review

They were very professional but polite and friendly.

They kept us waiting for about 40 mins, even though there was no one else in front of us. When we got in the IO seemed to have already made his mind up about approving us, I think that they were spying on us in the waiting room before hand. The IO also had a teeny little tv monitor by his desk too... Hmmmm.

Didn't look over anything we had prepared (and I had prepared A LOT of evidence and information about our marriage and cohabiting stuff), but he took the photocopy of our daughters birth certificate, after we signed a waiver because our attorney wasn't present (we didn't think they were useful there) and they asked me all the questions on the biographic form again. He flicked through his papers and then just said that we had been approved (which we were very happy about!) and he then went on to say about when to expect my PR card etc, how to remove the conditions and about travelling.
